Why Automatic Voltage Stabilizers
Due to the unbalanced or fluctuating power supply, the motors (especially 7.5 HP) of any industrial machinery suffer greatly in terms of efficiency. The effect of unbalanced input voltage on three phase motor includes:

• 5% unbalanced input voltage may reduce the capacity of the motor by 40% and increase the electric consumption by 20 – 25%.
• Higher losses in motors also decrease the efficiency of other integrated electrical systems like cable, switches etc.
• Usually, motor relays are kept on higher limits to counter frequent tripping. Higher than usual current in relays results into the failure of the system.

Technical Specifications

Main Components of Automatic Voltage Stabilizers
Linear, plus / minus type vertical rolling contact regulator :
The automatic voltage stabilizers have rolling contact regulators that are provided with self lubricating carbon roller assemblies.

Double wound buck / boost type series transformer :
The voltage stabilizers are provided with buck/boost type transformers. These transformers have CRGO lamination to minimize iron losses. Apart from this, the coils are wounded with heavy section of multi-strips electrolyte grade copper. The regulators and the buck/boost transformers of our voltage stabilizers are oil cooled.

Electronic control circuit and meter panel :
The voltage stabilizers have very simple electronic control voltage circuit for easy voltage monitoring and controlling.

Other Components of Automatic Voltage Stabilizers
Insulation
Insulation is provided through premium grade Parmali board or Japanese made insulation paper.

Oil
Only double filtered oil is used after testing it for resistivity, dielectric constant and acidic characteristic.

Tanks
Made of premium quality MS plates/sheets, the tanks have automatic bracing and stiffeners.

Core
Core is made of cold rolled steel sheet duly grain oriented and annealed laminated.

Coil Winding
Coil winding is done using synthetic enameled copper conductors or paper covered electrolytic grade copper strip.
