Why the regulator control is superior to thyristorised control in
Rectifiers?
- The regulators in plating application are of better quality, as they
are manufactured adopting the German and European technology due to as
explained in the advantage.
- Other manufacturers of rectifiers have shifted to thyristors
controlled rectifiers, as they do not have the technology of rolling
carbon roller regulators.
- Other manufacturers of rectifiers claim that thyristor controlled
rectifier cause less losses in comparison to regulator. They compare
thyristor regulator with sliding carbon type regulator. But, in our case
their claim does not prove true. We use vertical coil type rolling
carbon regulator. The copper section is three times so the losses are
almost 1/6 or 20%.
- In our regulator, the roller moves on both sides of the coil to give ±
440 V or ± 254 V output. We design the rectifier in 'Q' connection
in which the regulator current is half the line current so losses are
less and life is much more.
Starting Circuitry
We design premium quality silicon rectifiers, which are capable of
supplying 3 phase 50 Hz. Ac input. They can be used for the operations at
any voltage between 380 and 440 volts in India. We specialize in
manufacturing these rectifiers for 60 Hz AC and any other voltage.
It is highly recommended that, during the course of maintenance or in case
a fault occurs, the input should be connected to the power rectifier through
a proper protective device for providing both personal and system positive
protection.
DC Output Control
Variable output controls are designed for the purpose of controlling the
voltage or current or its operating range by varying input voltage to the
main transformer primary. The DC output voltage variation can be obtained
steplessly 0-100% by using POWER make on load roller type voltage regulator.
